Back to school...

So I am officially done with the first week of school! I already have been assigned over 150 pages to read and one paper to write!!! But, I think that this semester is going to be a good one! I was definitely ready to get back into the routine again and I did not realize how much I missed Columbia! I'm going to be sad if I'm not here next year for grad school! I missed my roomates and all of my friends, too. We have the best times together! I have also met a guy from Colorado. My mom works with his brother! He is so awesome, we have the best conversations. Too bad we are two states away, huh? Well, I probably won't be back home for awhile, and yes mom, I will miss you! I received an email that told me I am scheduled to graduate on May 13th!! I am so excited! It will be nice to say I have a degree!

Break is almost...OVER!!

Well, this is the start of my last week before I go back to Mizzou for my final semester. I'm pretty stoked because I only have 12 credit hours next semester and compared to last semester's 17 - that's way better. I also am going to be doing research for child disfluency (aka stuttering), which I'm pretty excited about. Other classes I'll be taking are: Observation, Reading Impairments in Children, Disorders of Phonology and Articulation, and Professional Issues of the Speech-language Clincian. And that will finish up my undergraduate degree!! Right now I am finishing up grad school applications - which I had planned on being finished with by now but I am procrastinating like crazy.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Here's to a fresh start with a new year. No more procrastination at school and no more eating those foods packed with calories. Okay, maybe only once in awhile :). So I only have two more weeks of Christmas break. My how the time will fly by!! What have I been doing over break, you ask? Pretty much nothing, except working!!! I work during the day for an insurance agent in St. Joseph and then a few evenings and Saturdays at the YMCA. Both jobs have been pretty awesome to let me work whenever I am back for breaks. It's nice to keep my job at the Y because that means a free gym membership when I'm home. However, it does not even compare to our fitness center at Mizzou. We have treadmills with personal DVD players and the locker rooms are supplied with mouthwash and hairdryers. AHHH....it's heavenly. And they only take about $1000 out of my tuition each year for me to use it, not too bad, right?? :) Other than working, I have just been spending lots of time with my family, practicing my Rachel Ray cooking skills, getting lots of sleepy time, reading (for pleasure finally), and enjoying living in the country (since Columbia doesn't exactly have a small population!!). You can find some pics of me and my friends being goofy last semester here. There are also some recent pictures from Christmas break!!
